Green Building (Application of ICAT Guides)

Evaluate the GHG impacts of Indonesia’s Green Building Regulation using ICAT’s Building Efficiency Methodology, across residential, government, and commercial sectors.

  • Conduct ex-ante and ex-post assessments of the GHG impact of energy efficiency measures across residential, commercial, and government buildings from Indonesia’s Green Building Regulation.
  • Support the achievement of Indonesia’s climate goals, particularly the targets set in the Enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution and the Long-Term Strategy for Low Carbon and Climate Resilience.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to enhance the implementation and enforcement of green building policies in Indonesia.
  • Provide feedback on the ICAT methodology to identify areas for improvement.

Transport Sector Pricing Policies (Application of ICAT Guides)

Objectives

Assess the impact of three transport pricing policies in Indonesia on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, using the ICAT Transport Pricing Methodology.

  • Apply the ICAT Transport Pricing Methodology to measure the impact of  Indonesia’s fuel pricing policy, a proposed electric vehicle policy and a Low-Cost Green Car policy.
  • Based on the assessment, propose a number of recommendations for the Government of Indonesia to help meet the emissions reduction targets of its 2016 NDCs.
  • Provide feedback on the applied methodology based on the assessment.
