COP28 will bring together the nations of the world to review the current status of our global fight against climate change and take action to bring us closer to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.
As the backbone of the Paris Agreement, transparency is essential for its success. The global stocktake has shown us that we are not on track towards achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement. However, the Paris Agreement remains the only functioning mechanism to address climate change on a global scale. Therefore, transparency efforts need to be further enhanced, and support scaled up. With a series of high-level and technical meetings, events and actions, ICAT will put transparency in the centre of climate discussions, showing it’s essential for successful climate action.
