In Bolivia, ICAT’s assessment guides were used to assess the effects of two public projects: ‘Cities Footprint’ and ‘Citizens of the Future’.
In Ethiopia, a pilot assessment of ICAT’s agricultural methodology was conducted. The project focused on the Climate Resilient Green Economy Strategy, with particular attention paid to a national policy on watershed development.
The government of Tonga and the Climate Technology Centre and Network assessed the transformational change impact of the Tonga Energy Efficiency Master Plan. The Plan aims to reduce electricity use and emissions from ground transportation (which accounts for 55 per cent of national emissions).
In Indonesia, a pilot assessment of ICAT’s Transport Pricing methodology was applied to selected policies to better understand their impact on GHG emissions from the road transport sector. Led by the Trisakti Institute of Transportation and Logistics, the study measured the impact of three policies, including Indonesia’s fuel pricing policy, a proposed electric vehicle policy and a Low-Cost Green Car policy. Based on the results of the assessment, the study proposed a number of recommendations for the Government of Indonesia to help meet the emissions reduction targets of its 2016 NDCs.
