Saturday 9 December | 15:00–16:30 | GST Pavilion (MR36)
Co-hosted with UNEP-CCC
As monitoring and evaluation of climate change adaptation is specific to the context of each country, globally applicable processes and procedures are not in place to help countries plan, implement, monitor and report on adaptation. However, some institutions have risen to the challenge and prepared valuable guidance to direct countries to navigate through the challenges; and many countries have, or are in the process of doing so.
This session aims to create awareness of the challenges related to reporting on adaptation, and highlight opportunities to overcome these challenges. To that end, the session will draw on the experience of countries, including Kenya, Panama, and Vanuatu, and evidence from the Adaptation Gap Reports and the independent Global Stocktake project.
