By the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT)
As countries start to implement their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to the Paris Agreement, they need to establish a national accounting system. A system that can track greenhouse gas emissions and removals related to the mitigation objective of their NDCs. This NDC accounting system will generate the information necessary to report on progress made in implementing and achieving NDCs, aligned with the Enhanced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement.
Jointly organized by ICAT and CBIT, this webinar presented different approaches for tracking NDC action and showcases the Excel-based NDC accounting tool developed by the Environmental Protection Agency of Ghana.
