- Webinar: Assessing the impacts of renewable energy policies
The Initiative for Climate Action Transparency and the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre will host an online webinar to launch a new, updated guide for assessing the impacts of renewable energy policies.
The Renewable Energy Methodology helps decision-makers by providing methodological guidance for estimating emissions pathways and reductions resulting from the implementation of energy-sector policies.
The 2026 update features revised content for improved user experience, as well as expanded policy coverage, including net metering and variable renewable energy integration with grid-battery storage policies.
The webinar is open to all interested persons, including representatives of governments and their partners involved in planning, implementing, and/or assessing greenhouse gas impacts of renewable energy policies in the context of developing and implementing national and subnational climate strategies and nationally determined contributions.
When: 20 August 2026
Time: 15:00-16:30 CEST
