La Iniciativa de Fomento de la Capacidad para la Transparencia y Programa de Apoyo Global (CBIT-GSP) y ICAT se unen para llevar a cabo un taller virtual sobre el reporte del financiamiento climático requerido y recibido, y para compartir el conocimiento, las buenas prácticas, y las lecciones aprendidas de los países de la región de América Latina y el Caribe Hispanohablante.

El taller virtual tiene el objetivo principal de incrementar las capacidades técnicas e institucionales en materia de transparencia del financiamiento climático requerido y recibido, incluyendo la identificación de necesidades, el seguimiento de los flujos y su posterior reporte en el primer BTR. 

El taller virtual está abierto a los expertos temáticos sobre apoyo requerido y recibido, así como a otros expertos relacionados con la transparencia del financiamiento climático, y demás partes interesadas en las áreas de la definición conceptual del financiamiento climático, arreglos institucionales, estimación de los costos de las medidas, procesos de MRV del financiamiento, identificar flujos y fuentes de financiamiento. La sesión incluirá oradores del CBIT-GSP, ICAT y CCAP, y la experiencia, buenas prácticas y lecciones aprendidas de países de la región sobre el reporte de su financiamiento climático.

Webinar on climate finance transparency and reporting in the BTR

The Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency and Global Support Program (CBIT-GSP) and ICAT are joining forces to host a webinar on reporting on climate finance needed and received, and to share knowledge, good practices, and lessons learned from countries in Latin America and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean.

The main objective of the webinar is to increase technical and institutional capacity in climate finance transparency, including the identification of needs, monitoring of financial flows, and subsequent reporting in the first BTR. 

The virtual workshop is open to experts on support needed and received, as well as other experts on climate finance transparency, e.g. conceptual definition of climate finance, institutional arrangements, estimating costs of measures, MRV processes of finance, identifying finance flows and sources, and other interested stakeholders. It will include speakers from CCAP and ICAT, as well as experience, good practices and lessons learned from countries in the region.
