Monitoring climate finance in the private sector – Experiences from the ICAT project in Peru

UNEP DTU Partnership together with the LEDS LAC Platform organized the Peer-to-Peer exchange within the framework of the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) and with the participation of the Ministerio del Ambiente – Perú (MINAM).

The objective of the session was to show the progress on the design of a national private financing reporting and monitoring system, and the elements that could be part of a roadmap for the implementation that the government of Peru has been developing, with the technical support from UNEP DTU Partnership.

The panelists of the learning session were Rosa Morales Saravia, General Director of the General Directorate of Climate Change and Desertification (DGCCD) of MINAM of Peru, Ivana Audia, Climate Change Technical Advisor at UDP, and Roberto Piselli, a specialist in climate finance of the DGCCD of MINAM.

The peer-to-peer session was attended by experts from Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, Colombia, Honduras, and Argentina.
