The ICAT series of assessment guides is designed with countries’ needs in mind with a focus on methodologies for the assessment of the GHG reduction, sustainable development and transformational change impacts of policies and actions. The guides can also help inform policy and action design.
The core documents are supported by complementary guides on engaging stakeholders and undertaking review or verification of policy and action impacts.
ICAT assessment guides follow a modular structure so that countries can choose which methodologies and tools to use based on their needs.
The May 2018 version of the series of assessment guides is now available. Select any guide below to learn more. The Initiative recommends starting with the Introductory Guide. Click here to learn more about the 2017 public consultation that informed the May 2018 versions of the guides.
