- ICAT at SB64: Report of Activities
The June Climate Meetings (the 64th session of the subsidiary bodies under the UNFCCC – SB64) took place in Bonn, Germany, from 8 to 18 June 2026. Climate delegates from around the world gathered alongside stakeholders from the public and private sector for two weeks of discussions and negotiations on climate action.
With the conclusion of the first full cycle of the Biennial Transparency Reports (BTR) submissions and a growing focus on using data analysis for Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) implementation, transparency took a prominent role during the conference. Recognized as more than a technical exercise, transparency is now seen as a strategic tool for driving climate action, building the foundation for a global climate governance framework, and enabling effective national climate policy.
During SB64, the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) hosted and contributed to seven events and held 48 bilateral meetings with countries, donors, and partners.
