Recording now available: Introductory webinar to new ICAT Series of Policy Assessment Guides

The Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) is pleased to share with you the recording for the introductory webinar to the ICAT Series of Policy Assessment Guides. This first webinar, which took place on 6th May 2020, explained how the ICAT Assessment Guides can be applied to assess the GHG, sustainable development and transformational impacts of climate policies and actions at various levels of governance.

The webinar featured a panel of expert speakers and looked at the overarching value of the ICAT Assessment Guides in addressing climate change at both a global and a national level. It covered how they relate to the Paris Agreement’s Enhanced Transparency Framework and, most importantly, provided a practical overview of how you can start to use the Guides and to reap the benefits they offer. It is recommended to listen until the end as the Q&A session was filled with a diverse array of interesting questions.

To support the application of the ICAT Assessment Guides, ICAT is providing policymakers and technical experts with a dedicated series of webinars to better understand how they can utilize the Guides and benefit from their application.

The webinar series will feature national and international experts exploring some of the key methodologies and their application in renewable energy, forestry, transport pricing, sustainable development, transformational change, and non-state and subnational action.

For more information about any of the webinars in this series or assistance with using or accessing the ICAT Assessment Guides, please contact the ICAT Secretariat.
